Omaha Beer Week

He’re’s a list of OBW events at Jake’s. The planning is still happening, but this is it so-far. Check back often for updates.

 

Saturday 4th

Shuttle Day – There will be shuttles running between all the participating OBW bars. Remember your pint glass. Remember to pace yourself, kids. There’s a lot of drinkin to be done today.

Sunday Night 5th

We’re kicking off the tap takeovers with the good folks at Lucky Bucket!

We’ll have Clockwork IPA (brewed with Valencia Oranges), and brand-new and as of yet unnamed “baby wine” (i’ll post details as i get ‘em), Black IPA, Pre-Probhibition Lager and an exclusive collaboration between LB & Jake’s. For Friday the 13th Lucky Bucket will unleash “Unlucky Bucket” – a bourbon barrel chocolate stout, made from their whiskey!

 

Monday Night 6th

Ron Nelson from New Belgium will be on hand to talk all things New Belgium. Enjoy the new-classic Bierre De Mars and a new Lips of Faith called Coco Mole. We’ll see what we can do about scaring up another couple interesting selections.

 

Tuesday Night 7th

Jenny from Boulevard will be here. Check out the Chocolate Ale, Tank 7, and Harvest Dance. We’re also putting together our first-ever movie night. Enjoy a quality beer related comedy, enjoy beers. Yep.

 

Wednesday Night 8th

Adam from Squatters / Wasatch Brewing is leading tastings of a few of their rare/specialty brews. This is an exciting, fast-rising brewery. We’re working on a unique food-pairing event too. Stay tuned!

 

Thursday 9th

Mike Hall from Upstream Brewing will be here. He’s offering up their ’07 Grand Cru. In another collaboration, we’ll have a crazy unique brew, it’s a pecan sriracha   creation from Luke of Jake’s and Upstream. We’re also working on a mint Trippel collaboration that should hit the taps on Fri, Feb 3rd!

 

Friday 10th

Jeff Doyle from Odell is here. With, of course, an Odell tap takeover. We’ll be pouring Saboteur Brett Barrel Ale, Cutthroat Nitro porter, Red Ale, Mountain Standard Black IPA, Bourbon Barrel Stout and India Pale Ale.

We’re also working on a beer cocktail thing for this night with Krug Park. Stay tuned.
